Gears of War 2 DLC Soon After Release

Gears of War's first map pack DLC came within two months after its November 2006 release, and it appears that Gears of War 2 will be following the same trend.

In an interview with Joystiq, developer Epic Games's Cliff Bleszinski said that the downloadable content supplementing their highly anticipated sequel will arrive "very soon within' the [Gears of War 2] launch timeframe." Just like the initial "Old Bones" and "Raven Down" map additions for the first game, Gears of War 2's DLC will focus generally on bringing more battlegrounds for the title's multiplayer mode.
